DRAFT — not final Acceptable Use Policy. For counsel review only. Do not treat this as binding until counsel-approved copy replaces this page and the draft banner is removed.

Last updated: 11 August 2026 (draft)

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets rules for using Liforma websites, APIs, Session Manifests, embeds, Meet demos, Studio, and avatar experiences (the “Services”). It forms part of the Terms of Service.

Publishers must require their end users to follow equivalent rules for experiences they offer.

2. Lawful use only

You may not use the Services:

  • In any way that violates applicable law or regulation
  • To commit fraud, steal credentials, or circumvent security or origin allowlists
  • To probe, scan, or attack Liforma infrastructure except with our prior written permission

3. Safety, harassment, and minors

  • No exploitation, grooming, or sexualisation of minors
  • No harassment, threats, or targeted abuse
  • No content or behaviour intended to cause severe distress or physical or psychological harm
  • Education and children’s contexts require age-appropriate design and organisational safeguards — TBD for counsel on detailed school/child standards

4. Impersonation and deceptive synthetic media

  • Do not impersonate a real person without their informed consent (including voice or likeness cloning scenarios)
  • Do not present a Liforma avatar or synthetic voice as a real human being in a deceptive way
  • Where the law or a third-party model licence requires intelligible disclosure that content is machine-generated, you must provide that disclosure in your product or experience
  • Do not use the Services for non-consensual deepfakes or similar deceptive media

5. Speech, conversation, and high-risk advice

  • Do not use the Services as a substitute for professional medical, legal, or similarly regulated advice where that would be unlawful or unsafe
  • Do not generate or disseminate verifiably false information with the purpose of harming others
  • Do not use the Services for unlawful surveillance or biometric identification of people

6. Platform and API abuse

  • No sharing of live API secrets or intentional origin misconfiguration to evade controls
  • No excessive automated load that degrades the service for others
  • No reselling raw model access as a standalone TTS/STA API using Liforma as a hidden proxy
  • No attempts to extract or scrape proprietary avatar packs outside normal session use

7. Third-party model use restrictions

Parts of Liforma’s animation pipeline use third-party models under licences that include use-based restrictions (OpenRAIL-M Attachment A themes such as unlawful use, harm to minors, non-consensual impersonation, and required machine-generated disclosure in certain cases). Those restrictions apply to use of that model via Liforma.

See Third-party notices and the mirrored OpenRAIL-M licence at /legal/third-party/openrail-m.

8. Publisher pass-through

If you embed or host experiences for others, you must not enable or encourage end-user conduct that would violate this AUP, and you must take reasonable steps to address reported abuse in experiences you control.

9. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate access, remove content, rate limit, or involve authorities where appropriate. We may update this AUP; material changes will be reflected by the date above.

10. Reporting

Report abuse or AUP concerns to legal@liforma.ai.
